The
builders leave soon!
Our
main contractors, Skinners, have been fantastic, but we can hardly wait to have
our church back! They should finish their final work soon after the end of May.
They have cleaning and carpet laying to do inside, plus some of the external
work in the Car Park.
In
June, the chairs will arrive and the sound and vision equipment will be
installed and set up. This has to be done in a dust free environment, so it is
virtually the last job. There has been a hold up with the platform furniture,
so we will have to wait and see what happens.
At our
next coffee morning on June 5th, the church will be open from 10am to 12 noon,
when you will be able to see the progress made.
Volunteers please!
We are
going to do a bit of painting to save some money. We will paint the pews in the
West Gallery ourselves, and so John Belton is looking for volunteers! (Phone

Dates in July
Our
first Sunday service in the new building will be on July 11th at 10.30 am, when
the whole All Saints' family will gather together for Praise and Thanksgiving.
Prior
to this, we will hold a Prayer and Praise Evening on Thursday July 8th at
7.30pm. So our first activity in the building will be prayer!
Later,
on Saturday July 17th, at 11.30 am, Bishop Bob will come to open formally our
re-ordered church, and then we'll all have lunch together.
Then
on Saturday July 24th we are hosting an evening with Jonathan Veira, the very
popular Christian singer and entertainer. This starts at 7.30pm, and tickets
will be available soon.
Progress on Finance
We
still need £35,500 to pay for this work, although around £10,000 is not due
until next year. So we need about £25,000 before June. Then there's the new
Organ; that will cost us £13,600. Plus we hope to make further improvements to
the Car Park (and create a turning circle) for around a further £20,000. So
there's still a need to pray!
