Bereavement Support Group Coffee Morning (Coffeemates)

Last year a new support group was started up for those who had been bereaved. It takes the form of a regular monthly coffee morning and people had responded to the invitation to come and find a safe place to talk of their loss or just relax over coffee and excellent cake, without questions about why they were on their own. There is much laughter and companionship at the meetings and there is certainly no sitting around in solemn groups "sharing" details, but it is a time to reminisce on happier times and realise you are not alone in your feelings. Feedback has shown that it has been a valuable stepping stone back into "life" again, a place to regain confidence. No matter how raw the pain or long ago the loss, all are welcome. If you feel this would benefit you, or someone you know, please come along or if you would like to know more, please ring Lin Burgess (597609) or Chris Lowden (516028) for further details.

Next meetings are July 24th and August 28th both at 10 am to 12 noon

Christianity Explored

A 10 week course starting in April

A great way to get to the heart of the Christian faith and discover who Jesus was, why he came and what it means to follow him.  Each week we'll watch a short dvd, read part of the Bible and discuss the questions raised along with any other questions you might have.  No prayers or singing, just exploration.

Contact Dave Brown for further details of the explorer course at any of the Churches on 01395 579316 or email daveandjudybrown@aol.com
