Children's Ministry at All Saints'

Children are welcomed and valued at All Saints' as we grow into becoming a multi-generational Christian family.

Learning Together:    The weekly 9:30 service is where Children's Ministry (Seekers @ Saints) is offered separately for 4 age groups: Creche for under 3's, Explorers for Infant school age (Reception to year 2), SFG for Junior school age (years 3 to 6) and a group for those at Secondary School. We have two youth workers, Bethan and Sacha who visit schools during the week and work with our teenagers on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. For more information about Seekers @ Saints call Tracey Tipton: 01395 576804.

Social Life:    Our children get on very well together and to encourage this we arrange social events throughout the year. Previous events have included: pantomime visits, trip to Escot, swimming party, silly sock party and a safari dinner night. In the future we have planned: a pantomime visit, 'The sky at night' evening, toasting marshmallows and fun in Mary's field and another fundraising coffee morning. Bethan and Sacha organise events for the older children and we are hoping to get them to Soul Survivor next summer.

Fund Raising:    The whole church family is involved in raising funds to renew our church building and the children have enjoyed some of those events - especially organising their own coffee mornings where they have sold their own craft goods, run stalls, made up quizzes and competitions and offered car washing. The children really enjoy these events and at the last one before Christmas 2008, raised just under £300 for the renewal fund.

Messy Church meets On Every Second Thursday of the Month 3.30pm to 5.30pm @ St Francis Church hall Woolbrook Road, Sidmouth. A new style of Church for children and their parents. It's like church. only messier!!!

Who can come to Messy Church?   Messy Church is really for families with children in primary school or nursery, but their older and younger brothers and sisters can tag along too!
But children will need to come with a responsible adult- it's church- not a youth club!
Oh, and by the way...Messy Church is FREE although donations to help cover the cost of the food will be welcome.

So what will go on there?   Here's a rough timetable to give you an idea of what to expect.
3.30-4.00 Arrive, drink, biscuits & games
4.00-4.05 A quick intro to the theme
4.05-4.40 Various art & craft activities to have a go at
4.40-5.00 Into church for a short Service with a couple of songs, a look at the art work we've done and a short talk about the theme
5.00-5.30 Back into the hall for a meal together. We'll have things like, pasta, jacket spuds & beans, pizzas or hot dogs followed by cakes before heading home

So what if I want to come.   We hope you do! You can just turn up, but to help us plan the food and the art activities, it would be great if you could let us know if you plan to come. Telephone Dave Brown on 579316 or email daveandjudybrown@aol.com
